A Bit About Me
By working closely with the Director to understand their concept and after undertaking extensive and detailed research, Aimee Dennett’s skilful use of makeup, prosthetics, hair and wigs helps bring life to the Directors vision whilst enabling the actors/actresses to become their role.
Having qualified after studying for three years in the use of Prosthetics and Special Effects Makeup, Hair, Makeup and Wigs to help create characters for Film, Theatre and TV. She subsequently graduated from The Iver Academy’s Advanced Makeup and Hair Artistry course.
Aimee has worked on student opera’s for the Royal College of Music, commercials, music videos, private hairdressing clientele as well as numerous small budget films and graduate films for the National Film and Television School.
Aimee is intoxicated by the idea of helping breathe life into abstract concepts turning them into living beings on the screen. “The opportunity to help share experiences by telling stories involving hardships intrigues me most. I am exhilarated by the prospect of using my craft to help the Director and actors/actresses to convey emotions leaving a lasting impression on the audience.”
